An introduction to Grace Church Ministries, Nepal

Grace Church Ministries was founded in 1991 and now continues to grow under the leadership of Pastors Hari Kumar and Uma Khati. We are a fellowship of 200 adults plus 100 teenagers and children who have discovered the love of God. Through our Ministries we have experienced great movement of God and have seen healing and restoration during our daily walk with Christ.

Our Grace Church family is constituted most of the center part of Nepal. We feel greatly blessed to serve people through our Ministries especially reaching to the unreached. As one united family of God we would like you all to uphold us in your prayers and we welcome you to have fellowship with our people and to fulfill the great commission in Nepal also.

In regard to those wishing to join the Grace Ministries fellowship of Churches in Nepal.

Need to be men of good reputation (Church they are from, references from people who know them, willing to answer direct questions about themselves)
Full of the Holy Spirit
Men of wisdom
Men of prayer
Men who love the word
Those men who have the same kind of hearts as the centurion in Luke 7.
Allow them to have fellowship with you, but say to them what at the end of 4-5 months you will stay with them again and make it clear whether you feel it right to accept them into Grace Ministries.
Explain to them the 4 foundational things, which are very important, which you expect all your ministers to have in order:
- “FACT” Finance,
- Accountability,
- Commitment,
- Trust.

My Testimony about how I came to Christ and My calling to serve Him.

I was born in a strong Hindu family. I heard the Gospel at the age of nineteen through an underground pastor in 1984. The same pastor gave me a Gospel booklet named “Heart of Man”. In that book, there was a tract of sinful man, after I read the booklet I learned about Jesus the savior of the world. Until then I did not have any idea what salvation meant to me. In the book, I saw the way of how to escape from the bondage of sin. I realized I myself was a sinful man and I decided to receive eternal life in Christ Jesus. I also apprehended afterward that Jesus is the only way, truth, and life. He is the only way to Father. I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior and took baptism in 1984. After knowing Jesus as Lord I faced many trials and persecutions.”

VISION

In 1991, Hari Kumar Khati founded Grace Church Ministries with a five-fold vision. (In His name, By His Blood, Through His Word, By the Power of His Holy Spirit and His faith.) 1. To reach millions of remote people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. 2. To rescue under privileged children from their physical and spiritual poverty. 3. To plant churches in Nepal. 4. To train equip and support their leaders to each their own people. 5. To preach the cause of world evangelism through out the Kingdom of Nepal.

FAITH STATEMENT

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that for the salvation of the lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

We believe in the present Ministries of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled live a godly life.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

Grace Church Ministries exist to:

Preach and be a witness to the Everlasting Gospel of Jesus Christ and establish His Kingdom in the nation of Nepal.
Empower local and national church leaders to plant churches among the remote people.
Equip and train pastors and Christian workers for Ministries.
Educated the children of Nepal through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Construct buildings for churches, Bible School and children’s Homes.
Print and distribute Christian literatures and tracks in the Nepali language as part of the multimedia communications of the Gospel.

Grace Church Ministries is also involved in bringing up the under privileged children by providing them food, cloth, shelter and education keeping in three places Bharatpur, Piple and Manohari. Bharatpur orphanage is located in Chitwan district near Royal Chitwan National Park Nepal, which is about 25 Kms far from Bharatpur, orphanage of Piple is 30 Kms. far and orphanage of Manohari is 40 Kms. away from Bharatpur respectively. Due to financial crisis we are not in a position to add more children here. On average we have to spend $45 for one student to offer good education and care.
